Perry, Lee

After High School, I served in the Spain - Las Palmas mission. Never heard of? Either had I. I had to get out a map and find out where Las Palmas was. Turns out Spain owns the Canary Islands which are off the coast of Morocco. It was a really great mission with really great weather. I saw the ocean every day. After my mission I moved to Salt Lake with a couple of mission buddies and attended Salt Lake Community College. I met my wife Teresa in 1992 and we married in July of 1993. She was attending Weber State University, so we moved to Ogden.

We decided to get her through school, so I started working in the glass business building residential windows. We found out Teresa was pregnant during her final semester. She received her bachelor’s degree in December of 1995 and our daughter Ciera was born on the 4th of July 1996. Teresa stayed home and I continued building windows.

In 1999 we moved to Clearfield and our 2nd child was born. His name is Chandler. I decided that I didn’t have a future in the glass business and I wanted to go back to school. I started at Weber State in 2000 and graduated in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

In 2002, I found a job as a programmer for a software development company called TaxWorks in Kaysville and I have been here ever since. We develop tax software for CPA’s and Professional Tax Preparers. In 2005 we had our 3rd child. His name is Tristan, and in 2007 we had our 4th (and last) child. His name is Jaxon. We moved to Kaysville a couple of years ago and it is great to have a 5 minute commute to work. I have been blessed with a great family and life is good. I’m excited to see everyone at the reunion.

Hey Lee,
How did you get so grown up and mature? It looks like Teresa did a great job raising you! We really need to get together and party.
Love Ya, Amy Burton Clay
